Job summary

UNC Health in Chapel Hill, NC is seeking a CT Technologist to perform CT scans, reconstruct images, and ensure high-quality diagnostic data while maintaining patient safety and workflow efficiency.

Shifts are Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am). This position qualifies for a $15,000 commitment incentive paid over a three-year work commitment with equal installments after each six months of service.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited educational program in Radiological Science or completion within 3 months at time of application.
• Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists or registry eligible. For registry eligible candidates: must provide a copy of diploma from accredited program.
• Requires advanced certification in CT within one year of employment.
• Successful candidates must become registered within one year of employment and must maintain their registry status and continuing education requirements annually.
• All imaging specialists are required to maintain current competency in HCP BLS.
• Prior education, training and experience that provides the ability to perform the assigned tasks.

Responsibilities

• Identify patients, verify identity, assess pregnancy status, and ensure safety.
• Perform CT scans per protocol and reconstruct images.
• Administer IV or oral contrast per protocol and monitor patient.
• Transfer images via PACS/EMR and ensure accurate charging.
• Maintain workflow, train staff, document incidents, and precept students.
