Wellstar is seeking a CT Technologist for Columbia County Medical Center Hospital. You will deliver high-quality imaging and patient care within a collaborative team. This full-time role involves CT procedures, ALARA practices, and accurate documentation.

Requirements include a radiologic technology program, 1 year radiology experience, ARRT certifications in radiography and CT, and BLS. Join a supportive environment focused on patient safety and education.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Radiology.
• ARRT-R (Radiography) certification.
• ARRT-CT certification.

• Perform CT procedures per department guidelines to capture quality images.
• Operate imaging equipment independently with ALARA to minimize dose.
• Maintain rooms/equipment; report issues per infection control schedules.
• Verify orders, obtain clinical history; ensure two patient identifiers.
• Explain procedures using AIDET; address questions and reduce anxiety.
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and age-appropriate care.

Required Qualifications

• EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent

Core Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to department guidelines, use your technical knowledge to capture quality diagnostic images
• Work independently operating imaging or radiographic equipment safely and adjusting techniques to maintain diagnostic quality at the lowest reasonable dose (ALARA)
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain rooms or equipment per infection control schedules; identify and report equipment issues promptly
• Obtain clinical history and screen for contraindications; verify orders and two unique patient identifiers before any exam
• Explain procedures, prep, and post-care clearly using AIDET; address questions and reduce patient anxiety
• Ensure patient comfort, privacy, and safety; provide age-appropriate care throughout the visit
• Perform exams and administer contrast per protocol, using venipuncture and sterile technique when applicable
• Position patients correctly and apply markers, shielding, and immobilization as indicated
• Review images for diagnostic acceptability; repeat or correct as needed and release patients appropriately
• Complete accurate, timely documentation and ensure studies are correctly finalized in RIS/PACS (including transfers/retrieval, CDs, and prior exam retrieval as needed)
• Monitor patient condition, respond to emergencies, and help maintain and restock crash cart and life-support equipment as required
• Organize daily workflows to meet expected timeframes; collaborate with technologists/modalities to support department flow
• Support operations and compliance, keep areas orderly and stocked, transport patients safely, complete charging/clerical tasks, follow regulatory requirements, and elevate issues to the supervisor
