Job summary

Longview Regional Medical Center in Texas seeks a CT Technologist II, full-time night shift. You will perform advanced CT imaging, ensure high-quality diagnostic images, and uphold patient safety while following radiation protection standards.

You will prepare patients, administer contrast as required, assist in interventional CT, and collaborate with radiologists to optimize protocols. The role emphasizes compassionate care, accuracy, and adherence to ALARA and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of clinical experience from an accredited radiologic sciences program.
• 3-5 years of CT Technologist experience in an acute care hospital preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures accurately following established protocols.
• Prepare patients, verify orders, and position them correctly.
• Administer contrast media per hospital policy and monitor for reactions.
• Use I-Stat for creatinine and determine GFR when needed.
• Assist in interventional CT procedures and biopsies.
• Respond to emergencies and ensure patient safety.
• Apply ALARA principles to minimize radiation exposure.
• Perform QC checks on CT equipment and report malfunctions.
• Review orders, patient history, and document in RIS/EMR.
• Maintain stocked, clean work area and collaborate with staff.
• Train CT staff and mentor others.
• Adhere to policies and demonstrate reliable attendance.
