Qualifications

• 1 year CT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures using a pressure injector and contrast under supervision.
• Prepare and position patients for CT procedures; adjust immobilization devices for optimal views.
• Determine exposure factors based on height, weight, and body part; adjust controls for detail and accuracy.
• Practice radiation protection to minimize exposure to patient and staff.
• Perform procedures with independent judgement and initiative for radiologic diagnosis.
• Maintain and troubleshoot radiologic equipment; complete forms and logs.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and obtain cooperation.
• Assist radiologist during examinations.
• Measure and mix contrast media for oral administration.
• Process images and prepare for reading by radiologist or physician.
• Perform office tasks and venipuncture; call may be required.
