Qualifications

  • Certification by ARRT or NMTCB upon hire; new graduates must obtain certification prior to employment.
  • Graduate training in Radiologic Technology; a related bachelor's degree is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform independently, adhere to safety standards, and effectively communicate with patients and colleagues.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain correct patient information, ensure proper identification, and prepare patients for exams.
  • Use appropriate imaging protocols, optimize technical factors, and apply ALARA principles.
  • Prepare and administer medications through vascular access as prescribed.
  • Evaluate image quality, verify data storage and transfer, and perform post-processing if needed.
  • Assist with interventional procedures and educate healthcare team members.
