Job Summary and Qualifications

This PRN CT Technologist role supports our free-standing ER, HCA Florida North River Ranch Emergency, and includes responsibilities for x-rays.

You should be competent in imaging procedures such as brain, spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, extremities, sella, and biopsies. Prioritize patient care activities, demonstrating dedication to caring for others.

As a CT Technologist, your duties will include:

  • Select and perform diagnostic CT examinations accurately and compassionately.
  • Operate CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system proficiently.
  • Assist with contrast media administration and related procedures.
  • Prepare, transfer, and position patients ensuring modesty and safety.
  • Document clinical information, obtain consent, and complete MEDITECH documentation accurately and timely.
  • Obtain high-quality images for interpretation.
  • Stay current with software protocols and field updates through training and seminars.
  • Communicate effectively with patients and colleagues, including radiologists.
  • Maintain equipment and room cleanliness, stock supplies, and accept on-call duties as needed.
Qualifications Needed:
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
  • Registered Radiographer (ARRT).
  • State Registered Radiologic Technician.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
