Job description

General Summary

Shift: PRN, shift and hours will vary, this is a fill-in position.

Location: 4100 River Rd, East China Township, MI 48054

This is a multimodality position and will include both CT and general X-Ray scanning.

Perform a variety of radiographic procedures used in the diagnosis and treatment of illnesses and injuries:

1. Position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
2. Implement radiation protection and safety standards.
3. Prepare, perform, and assist the physician in special and advanced procedures.
4. Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable regulations.
5. Help position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
6. Ensure all activities comply with regulatory standards.
7. Ensure prompt submission of high-quality images and documents to PACS (including image quality, correct lead markers, and patient data/history).
8. Assist in maintaining a clean, safe, and orderly department, including procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage, and other areas.

Education/Experience Required

• High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR an Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable job-specific experience.

Certification/Licenses Required

• BLS Provider credential from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire or transfer. ARC CPR for Professional Rescuers accepted upon hire; renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA.
• One or more of the following:
• Cardiographic Tech credential from CCI obtained prior to hire or transfer.
• Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography credential from ARRT obtained prior to hire or transfer.

Additional Preferences

• ARRT (R) certification required; CT experience required; certification preferred.
