Job summary

UF Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform computerized imaging and assist patients in Jacksonville, Florida. Qualifications

  • 2 years as a CT Technologist in a stroke accredited facility required.
  • ARRT certification in Radiography and Computed Tomography required.
  • Experience with imaging systems and patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Performs computerized imaging and assists patients and physicians.
  • Uploads and transmits images to Visage and prepares MSTU for scans.
  • Participates in community outreach and educational activities.

Performs computerized imaging, with knowledge of all equipment and monitors. Assists patients and physicians as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education: High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Education: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology

Required Licensure/Certifications: BLS from the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross

License qualification/certification combinations:

  • Combination 1: FL DOH license as General Radiographer or Radiologist Assistant; ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • Combination 2: FL DOH license as Nuclear Medicine Technologist; ARRT (N) Nuclear Medicine Technology OR NMTCB, AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • Combination 3: FL DOH license as Radiation Therapy Technologist; ARRT (T) Radiation Therapy AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography
  • Combination 4: FL DOH license as General Radiographer, Radiologist Assistant, and Computed Tomography; ARRT (R) Radiography AND ARRT (CT) Computed Tomography

Preferred Licensure/Certifications: N/A

Required Experience: 2 years as a CT Technologist in a stroke accredited facility

Preferred Experience: 3 years of CT imaging experience

Necessary Skills:

  1. Knowledge of computer software and troubleshooting skills
  2. Ability to provide physical and psychological support to patients, including screening and accommodating limitations
  3. Patient registration
  4. IV placement and/or blood draw for POC testing
  5. MSTU preparation for scan
  6. Uploading and transmitting images to Visage
  7. Utilizing Telemedicine system
  8. Creating CDs of images for patients transferring outside UF Health
  9. Performing other duties to improve workflow efficiencies
  10. Utilizing downtime productively
  11. Participating in MSTU simulations and educational activities to promote teamwork and efficiency
  12. Community outreach and education to promote the MSTU program
  13. Working cohesively with the team to streamline MSTU processes and improve stroke metrics and patient care
  14. Stroke data entry
  15. Knowledge of software troubleshooting

Age of Patients Served: Adults (18-64 years) and Geriatric (≥65 years)
