Mercyhealth is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging, administer contrast, and ensure patient safety in line with established protocols. You will operate CT scanners, review orders, document procedures, and support radiologists and allied teams.

Required ARRT radiography registration with CT registration within 2 years, Illinois or Wisconsin licensure as applicable, and graduate from an accredited radiography program.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
• Minimum one to three years of CT technologist experience preferred; trainees considered.
• ARRT Radiography registration required; ARRT Computed Tomography registration required within 2 years of hire.
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required if working in Illinois.
• WI-DSPS radiographer license required if working in Wisconsin.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic Computed Tomography procedures and techniques.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as appropriate to procedures performed.
• Reviews patients’ clinical history ensuring that appropriate scan is ordered and labs are within range; reviewing with radiologist or provider as necessary.
• Provides patient education and instruction for students and partners.
• Initiates basic life support when necessary; starts IV access and may involve power-injectable ports.
• Operates CT scanner and power injector to produce cross-section images for diagnostic purposes.
• Documents all CT procedure information in EMR, including medication reconciliation.
• Follows ALARA principles and uses PACS for image sharing and reporting.

OVERVIEWPerforms advanced Computed Tomography (CT) imaging procedures by operating CT equipment, administering contrast media, maintaining patient safety, and producing high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols.
