Job Summary:

The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying diagnostic imaging skills utilizing CT scanning equipment. They assist in diagnosing and treating patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Essential Functions:
  • Confirm all pertinent patient and procedural data is correct.
  • Perform computed tomography procedures.
  • Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
  • Make radiation exposures by energizing the scanner.
  • Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
  • Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures.
  • Maintain knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
  • Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.
Education and Licensure:
  • Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (required)
  • Registration with ARRT (preferred or must obtain within 2 years)
  • State Licensure (preferred)
Experience:
  • 1 year of experience as a CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
  • Experience with EPIC EHR and PACS systems (preferred)
