Job summary

Hillsboro Health (Hillsboro Area Hospital) seeks an experienced Lead CT Technologist to support the Imaging Manager in planning, coordinating, and improving CT services. You will train staff, oversee CT procedures, and help ensure efficient patient care and cost-effective CT operations.

You will lead a team, maintain CT quality controls, and collaborate with radiologists to develop and update CT protocols. This role requires ARRT, IEMA as applicable, and CPR certification.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a 2-year Radiology Technologist program.
  • CT imaging experience of 4 years preferred.
  • Maintain CT and X-ray registrations and CPR certification.
  • Ability to lead a diverse imaging team.

Responsibilities

  • Train new Imaging staff in CT.
  • Provide education, training and information to Imaging staff as it pertains to CT.
  • Assist in overseeing the collection and processing of CT procedures.
  • Proactively participate in processes to guide patient care in the most efficient, productive, and cost-effective manner possible.
  • Monitor and record required quality controls as assigned.
  • Knowledgeable of policies and procedures and assists with their review and updates.
  • Be competent in general radiology including fluoroscopy, surgery and bone density as well as general office duties.
  • Competent in performing CT and administering contrast.
  • Displays leadership skills including working well with others to promote their growth in CT.
  • Safely transport patients using assisting devices as needed.
  • Work with radiologists on developing protocols.
  • Enter and change protocols in CT as appropriate.

  • Assist ensuring CT regulatory, state, federal, and hospital requirements are followed.
  • Maintain the CT QA program with adjustments and additions as needed.
  • Maintain records of LDCT exams and send letters when appropriate.
  • Completes and maintains all required education and/or training requirements.
  • Complies with HIPPA regulations and maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
  • Follows and maintains all required education and/or training requirements.
  • Follows and maintains all lawful safety, health requirements and regulations and follows protocols for required protective equipment (PPE).
  • Promptly reports safety issues, job-related injury or illness, near misses, etc. in SafetyZone.
  • Follows Hillsboro Health Standards of Behavior.
  • Other duties as assigned within scope of job and organization.
  • Ability to lead a team of diverse individuals to accomplish goals.
Requirements
Education and/or Experience
  • Graduate of 2-year certified Radiology Technologist School program.
  • 4 years CT/Imaging experience preferred
Certificates And Licenses
  • Maintain current CT and X-ray registrations.
  • ARRT and IEMA as required
  • CPR certification.

Salary Description

$30.89 - $38.61 per hour
