Position Details

Location: Duke Raleigh Hospital, 3400 Wake Forest Rd, Raleigh, NC 27609

Work Schedule: Full-Time, 1st Shift, Friday through Sunday from 6:00AM - 6:30PM

This position is considered the Weekend Option and will receive the WEO premium incentive pay for weekend hours worked.

***This position is eligible for a $15,000 commitment bonus***

Role Summary

Duke University Health System seeks an experienced CT Technologist to embrace our mission of Advancing Health Together. The role primarily serves inpatient populations, with a focus in the Emergency Department, and some outpatient duties.

Responsibilities

1. Operate CT scanners, power injectors, and related equipment safely and effectively.
2. Position patients for scans, ensuring safety and accuracy.
3. Perform exams according to protocols and standards.
4. Assist radiologists with procedures, IV starts, and contrast injections.
5. Evaluate and label CT scans, transmit images to the archive system.
6. Schedule procedures, assist with clerical tasks, and manage patient records.
7. Provide patient education and training, including new technologists and students.
8. Coordinate patient flow and demonstrate proficiency in IV placement and exam protocols.
9. Contribute to protocol development and participate in projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program meeting registry/certification eligibility or current registry/certification.
• For Level I: Obtain CT certification within 18 months.
• For Level II: Minimum of 2 years' CT experience.
• For Level III: Minimum of 4 years' experience in the modality.
• Certification in Radiography, Radiation Therapy, Nuclear Medicine, or CNMT.
• ARRT registration in CT required within 18 months.
• BLS certification.
