Job summary

OrthoArizona in the United States is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team. You will produce high-quality CT images, position patients, and ensure protocol compliance under IAC standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent (Required).
• Graduate of an accredited radiology or accredited CT program.
• ARRT licensure as an x-ray technologist or other required state licensure (if applicable).
• ARRT registry in CT or equivalent work experience in computerized axial tomography.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.
• One year CT Technologist experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Produce images of consistently good quality per protocols.
• Position patients and select parameters to produce cross-sectional images.
• Perform pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to CT examinations.
• Enter and monitor patient data and transfer images to PACS.
• Identify patients and correlate information on images.
• Maintain productivity and safety during procedures.
• Adjust scan parameters for high quality across patient types.
• Perform QA testing on imaging equipment and report results.
• Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
• Perform CT procedures using various frequencies, planes, and techniques.
• Collect patient history and document on requisition.
• Start IV access and administer contrast as needed.
• Recognize emergencies and respond appropriately.
• Promote CT safety through education of staff.
