Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Advance education in CT (CAT scan) technology preferred.
• One year of diagnostic radiology experience.
• One year CT experience preferred.
• ARRT registration in Radiology and CT required.
• Massachusetts state license in Radiology and CT required.
• English reading, writing and communication with patients and staff.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety and quality checks, including verifying exam orders.
• Complete CT examinations following established CT protocols.
• Enter examinations correctly with accurate documentation and charges.
• Send and store images/data in PACS per department procedures.
• Maintain records/logs to monitor quality and safety.
• Clean and maintain equipment; foster a culture of safety.
• Assist with supplies and equipment to ensure smooth operations.
• Transport and assist ambulatory patients as needed.
• Educate patients and families during the patient experience.
• Communicate effectively with the healthcare team using handoff protocols.
• Minimize harm and follow infection control protocols.
