Job summary

Bon Secours Mercy Health is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT procedures and provide direct patient care in an evening/night shift. The role involves quality imaging, patient positioning, contrast administration, and collaboration with radiology staff.

Requires ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology, BLS, and CT modality registration (preferred or within 1 year). On-call rotation is required; EPIC EHR and PACS experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in radiologic technology from an ARRT-accredited program (preferred).
• ARRT certification in Diagnostic Radiology is required.
• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (required).
• Advanced modality registration in CT (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year).
• State licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is performed).

Responsibilities

• Assures the quality of all images and confirms that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
• Performs computed tomography procedures.
• Performs timeout as required per policy.
• Properly positions patients on CT scanning cradles and immobilizes patients.
• Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner per physician request and patient history.
• Performs intravenous injections and uses contrast agents as required.
• Assists radiologist with biopsies, drainage procedures, etc., using sterile techniques.
• Maintains knowledge of CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
• Participates in on-call rotation as required.

W est Hospital - CT Technologist

Full-Time - 36Hrs/Week

Shift - Evenings/Nights

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist applies the art and skill of diagnostic imaging through the safe and effective use of CT scanning equipment in a way that provides direct patient care in a compassionate and timely manner. The CT Technologist assists in the diagnosis and treatment of patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Essential Functions:

• Assures the quality of all images and confirms that all pertinent patient/procedural data is correct.
• Performs computed tomography procedures.
• Performs timeout as required per policy.
• Properly positions patients on CT scanning cradles and properly immobilizes patients with appropriate devices to obtain desired position.
• Makes radiation exposures by energizing scanner per physician request and patient history.
• Performs intravenous injections and demonstrates a knowledge of use and care of existing IVs, administers oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contracts agents specific to procedures.
• Assists the radiologist with biopsies, drainage procedures, etc. utilizing sterile techniques, exhibiting safe and effective use of all contrast and radiation materials.
• Maintains a working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
• Participates in on call rotation as required.

Education:

• Associate's from an ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) accredited institute (preferred)

Required Licensing & Certifications:

• BLS Basic Life Support – American Heart Association (preferred upon hire, must obtain from approved source prior to direct patient care) (required)
• Certification and Registration with ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) in Diagnostic Radiology (required)
• Advanced modality registration in CT, ARRT (preferred, or must obtain within 1 year)
• State Licensure (preferred, unless required by the state where the job is being performed)

Experience:

• 1 year of experience as CT or Rad Tech (preferred)
