Job summary

Wesley Medical Center, part of HCA Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technologist to join our imaging team in Wichita, KS. The role involves performing CT imaging studies, preparing patients, and ensuring safety and quality protocols are followed.

Qualifications include ARRT registration, KS Radiologic Technologist certification within 90 days, and BLS. Relocation assistance is available for eligible candidates. We value teamwork and clinical education support.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to adapt technique/treatment to age of population served, including newborn, pediatric, adolescent, adult and geriatric patients, while providing care/service with respect to cultural differences and spiritual needs.
• Positions and prepares patients for exams according to the type of procedure to be performed
• Performs procedures and assesses patients throughout and responds to patients needs as appropriate
• Completes appropriate documentation for each study performed
• Performs all computer and PACS functions
• Observes safety regulations and aseptic practice techniques to protect patients and staff
• Demonstrates knowledge of Universal protocols
• Uses professional judgment and critical thinking when performing procedures
• Participates in orientation and training of new staff members and instructs students during their clinical rotations
• Maintains thorough knowledge of the scanners and exam protocols in order to ensure the highest quality procedures
• Follows all Radiation dose monitoring guidelines
• Performs all other duties as assigned
