Job summary

Qualifications

• Certification in Radiologic Technology and a minimum of 1 year radiology experience.
• ARRT-R certification in Radiography.
• Current BLS certification (ARC-BLS or BLS-Instructor preferred).
• Dependability, flexibility, and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and demonstrate technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Adjust imaging techniques to minimize radiation exposure while maintaining image quality.
• Prepare patients through proper communication and pre-procedural instructions, ensuring comfort and privacy.
• Perform a variety of technical procedures independently, utilizing critical thinking and technical skills.
• Respond to emergencies, maintain equipment, and ensure safety standards are met.
• Document procedures accurately, review images for quality, and send studies to PACS promptly.
• Assist in training staff and support departmental operations, including patient transport and supply management.
• Follow infection control and regulatory standards, including Joint Commission guidelines.
