· AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital.

· Conveniently located near Walt Disney World.

· The team is dedicated to bringing mission-focused, faith-based care to residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties.

· AdventHealth Kissimmee has recently expanded its existing tower by 3 floors and 80 beds, including new ancillary spaces such as Inpatient Rehab, Inpatient Dialysis, Laboratory, and Imaging services.

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines of AH parameters, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and keeping the hospital computer system updated with the progress of these exams. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service and maintains respectful relationships with all, while implementing the principles of AdventHealth. The Tech II position also involves additional duties such as maintaining statistics, tracking and ordering supplies, performing complex 3D and CTA workstation studies, overseeing operations across campus locations, performing advanced exams, teaching students and new technologists, and other tasks as assigned by the department manager.

The value you’ll bring to the team:

• Performs all exams, including the most difficult, following AdventHealth CT protocols. Properly identifies patients before exams, educates them about the procedure, and screens for contrast allergies.
• Completes exams efficiently, minimizes downtime, and communicates effectively with patients regarding transportation and discharge.
• Operates all imaging equipment safely, including scanners, injectors, and monitors, and adapts protocols for patients of all ages.
• Properly screens patients of childbearing age and minimizes radiation exposure to patients, families, and staff.
• Reviews images, repeats sequences if necessary, and assists others in image quality decisions.

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed :

• ARRT – R certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
