Schedule: Part-Time Evenings

Shift: Monday-Thursday 6pm-12am

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Apopka

  • AdventHealth Kissimmee is a 242-bed community-focused hospital
  • Conveniently located near Walt Disney World
  • The team is dedicated to mission-focused, faith-based care for residents and visitors of Osceola and Orange Counties
  • Recently expanded with a new tower adding 3 floors and 80 beds, including new ancillary spaces such as inpatient rehab, dialysis, laboratory, and imaging services

The role you’ll contribute:

Under general supervision, your primary duties include imaging both neuro and body scans on patients from neonate to geriatric, following age-specific guidelines, transmitting images for diagnostic interpretation, and updating the hospital computer system with exam progress. The CT technologist actively participates in outstanding customer service, maintains respectful relationships, and implements Florida Hospital principles. The Tech II position also involves responsibilities such as tracking and recording statistics, ordering supplies, performing complex 3D and CTA workstation studies, overseeing operations across campus locations, performing advanced exams, mentoring students and new technologists, and other tasks assigned by the department manager.

  • Perform all exams, including complex procedures, using FH CT protocols, ensuring proper patient identification, educating patients, screening for contrast allergies, and supervising/administering contrast as needed
  • Complete exams efficiently, maintain workflow, minimize idle time, and communicate effectively with patients regarding their care and discharge
  • Operate imaging equipment safely and properly, adapting protocols for patients of all ages, demonstrating clinical competence

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

  • Associate degree in a healthcare-related discipline
  • ARRT or ARDMS certification - Radiographer
  • BLS - Basic Life Support certification
  • Florida State License

Preferred qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related discipline
