Job summary

Sentara Health in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a CT technologist to perform Computed Tomography (CT) and CT-guided interventional procedures under physician supervision. You will operate CT equipment, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation.

No CT experience is required; ARRT or CNMT within 2 years of hire is expected, and an advanced CT registry should be obtained within two years.

Qualifications

• No CT experience required; new grads welcome.
• ARRT required or CNMT obtained within 2 years, CT registry obtained within 2 years of hire.
• Staff within Sentara CarePlex must obtain CT registry by 11/1/2016.

Responsibilities

• Performs Computed Tomography (CT) and CT guided interventional procedures under the direction of a qualified physician.
• Provides patient and family education; operates equipment safely.
• Completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational; maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations.
