Job summary

AdventHealth Shawnee Mission is seeking a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT examinations, manage IV contrast, and ensure patient safety. The role emphasizes radiology software proficiency, collaboration with radiologists, and accurate EMR documentation. A strong commitment to ALARA and patient care is required.

The candidate will work in a full-time day shift, join a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to timely imaging services for diverse patients at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equiv
• Associate/BA preferred
• Proficient in CT procedures and safety
• Experience in radiology environment preferred
• Ability to operate imaging software and systems
• Must have ARRCT/CT certification and BLS
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Responsibilities

• Perform CT exams with adherence to orders and protocols
• Review patient history and pre-scan information
• Administer IV contrast safely and monitor for reactions
• Position patients for optimal imaging while maintaining ALARA
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare team
• Document procedures accurately in EMR and PACS
• Educate patients about the exam and safety procedures
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control standards
• Follow department policies and quality control procedures
• Complete exams efficiently to meet department targets
