Job summary

Sentara Halifax Regional Hospital in Halifax, VA is seeking a CAT Scan Technologist II to join our imaging team. This full-time night-shift role requires performing CT imaging per protocol under physician supervision, while ensuring safety and accuracy in every scan.

You will be responsible for patient education, equipment operation and maintenance, and accurate documentation, with opportunities for career development and a strong benefits package.

Qualifications

• Trade School Graduate in Radiologic Technology.
• ARRT or CNMT is required, BLS.
• Must obtain ARRT (CT) advanced registry within 2 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality CT imaging per protocol under physician direction.
• Operate CT equipment safely and efficiently.
• Complete department documentation and maintain equipment cleanliness.
• Maintain adequate supply inventory and follow radiation safety guidelines.
• Administer CT contrast per protocol.

Sentara is currently hiring a CAT Scan Technologist II in Halifax, Virginia

This is a Full-Time, Night shift opportunity with great benefits.

A 30K bonus is available to qualified candidates.

As a CAT Scan Technologist, you will provide quality Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging to patients under the direction of a supervising physician with adherence to the required protocol standards.

Performs Computed Tomography (CT) per protocol under the direction of a qualified physician;

Provides patient and family education; Operates equipment safely; completes department documentation; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational;

Maintains adequate supply inventory for performing examinations. Follow radiation safety regulatory guidelines.

Administration of CT Contrast per protocol.
