Qualifications

• Required Education: Completion of a 2-year degree in Radiologic Technology.

Responsibilities

• Uses radiation safety measures to ensure patient and staff safety per government regulations.
• Reviews X-rays and determines diagnostic quality following ALARA guidelines.
• Positions equipment and adjusts exposure time and distance per exam specifications.
• Explains procedures to patients using the AIDET process and ensures their safety and comfort.
• Follows department standard work and policies; maintains image quality in PACS and RIS.
• Maintains patient records and documentation for examinations.
• Administers non-radioactive contrast as needed.
• Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures and related techniques.
• Demonstrates professional judgment and ethical demeanor; adapts to patient age and needs.
