Responsibilities

• Follows department protocols for patient identification, informed consent, and time-out procedures prior to starting exams.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation within the EMR and PACS systems.
• Educates patients about the exam and completes all exams promptly while maintaining workflow.
• Operates CT equipment safely, adapting protocols for patients of all ages.
• Performs high-quality CT examinations per orders and protocols.
• Reviews patient history to confirm exam appropriateness and contraindications.
• Prepares and administers IV contrast and monitors for reactions.
• Positions patients accurately and maintains radiation safety and ALARA.
• Collaborates with radiologists and clinicians to ensure appropriate imaging and continuity of care.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
