Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks a CT Technologist to perform high-quality CT exams under supervision and in accordance with established protocols for diverse patient populations. The role requires ARRT CT registration, SC SCRQSA licensure, and ongoing modality registration within 1 year of hire.

Schedule includes overnight Fri–Sun shifts (6:00 PM–6:30 AM). AHA/BLS certification is required, with cardiopulmonary resuscitation training up to date.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology.
  • Must be registered with the ARRT in CT and licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA).
  • Must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-quality CT examinations in accordance with established protocols.
  • Interpretation by a physician is expected after imaging.
  • Schedule: Fri–Sun, 6:00 PM–6:30 AM.

Job Description

Education: Graduation from an AMA approved school of radiologic technology
Work Experience: 1 year of Radiologic experience. Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), licensed by the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association (SCRQSA), and must obtain Advanced Modality registration within 1 year of hire date. Current American Heart Association (AHA) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Additional Job Description

Education: Graduation from an accredited school of radiologic technology. Work Experience: 0-2 years of modality specific experience. Registration/Certifications: Must be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). ARRT CT Registration required within 1 year in position. Licensure from the South Carolina Radiation Quality Standards Association is required. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) required, either a certification from an American Heart Association (AHA) BLS for Healthcare Providers (or AHA recognized equivalent) or an American Red Cross CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer and Healthcare Provider. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred.
