The role you’ll contribute:

This position contributes to the department's goals by providing quality CT scanning services to patients from infancy through geriatrics undergoing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in Imaging Services. Essential duties include obtaining patient history, explaining procedures, addressing patient concerns, and producing computerized tomographic images as per departmental protocols.

• Performs quality CT scan studies upon orders from licensed practitioners
• Verifies physician orders prior to scanning
• Consults with physicians, floor RNs, or radiologists for clarifications
• Uses two patient identifiers (name and date of birth) matched with arm band
• Ensures radiation protection for patients according to FACIOD-91

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• BLS certification
• Completion of radiologic technology training and A.R.R.T. registration
• State license as required by the state, if applicable
