Job description

Job Description: CT Technologist

The CT Technologist provides technical expertise to operate CT scanners, power injectors, and computer systems to acquire images for radiologist diagnosis and treatment of pathologies.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Operating different CT systems across multiple locations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge.
  2. Following protocols based on Image Gently Guidelines and utilizing CT scanner integration for dose monitoring and alerts.
  3. Having comprehensive knowledge of clinical histories, major organ systems, and vascular systems for Thoracic, Abdominal, Pelvic, Neuro, and Musculoskeletal imaging.
  4. Obtaining CT images according to established protocols, ensuring patient preparation, proper positioning, immobilization, and use of protective shielding when applicable, along with selecting correct technical factors.
  5. Performing CT interventional procedures.
  6. Conducting CTA imaging, including advanced studies such as TAVR, EVAR, and cardiac imaging, with appropriate bolus timing.
  7. Maintaining knowledge of pharmacology to ensure lab results are available prior to exams.
  8. Understanding physiology to adapt when ideal conditions are not met.
  9. Applying physics knowledge to minimize patient dose.
  10. Interpreting technical factors to optimize scan quality and speed.
