Computed Tomography (CT) Technologists are responsible for administering ionizing radiation for diagnostic, therapeutic, or research purposes. They perform computed tomography and molecular imaging procedures, acquire and analyze data for diagnosis, interpretation, and assist with interventional and therapeutic procedures at the request of and for interpretation by a licensed practitioner. CT Technologists independently perform or assist licensed practitioners in completing computed tomography. They prepare, administer, and document activities related to medications and radiation exposure in accordance with federal and state laws, regulations, and institutional policies.
Work is typically performed in a clinical environment. The role requires compliance with all organizational policies and procedures. Additional department-specific competencies and skills will be considered essential.
