Qualifications

• Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in the state and registration with the ARRT required.
• Certified to perform Mammography or willing to obtain within 12 months of hire.
• Current BLS certification required.
• One year of previous experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist operates CT equipment to produce cross sectional images for radiologists to diagnose diseases.
• Administers/provides contrast media and assists with examinations as needed.
• Identifies patient, verifies orders, positions patients, and performs procedures per established protocols.
• Uses radiation safety principles and maintains equipment and room readiness.
• Assists with stocking, inventory, and documentation; handles PACS-related tasks.
• Participates in quality control and QA studies and supports the supervising radiologist.

Education

Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in state

ARRT registration

BLS certification

Mammography certification within 12 months

One year experience preferred
