Job summary

Adventist Health Mendocino County seeks a qualified CT Technologist to operate CT equipment and produce diagnostic cross-sectional images for radiologists. The role includes general radiography and fluoroscopy, and requires adherence to HIPAA and accurate image management via PACS and teleradiology.

The ideal candidate holds an ARRT license, California radiologic tech status, and BLS certification, with preferred CT certification. This position is at Adventist Health in Little River, CA.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. This position is represented by UFCW.

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Preferred in CA and OR
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Venipuncture (IV) certification: Required
