Job summary

Trinity Health in Fresno is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to perform CT procedures, assist radiologists, and provide compassionate patient care throughout exams.

Requirements include graduated Radiologic Technology program, California CRT certification, ARRT (R) and CT certifications, venipuncture competency, and an AHA CPR card. Prior CT experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and California CRT certification are required.
• ARRT Radiography (R) certification is required; advanced ARRT CT certification is required.
• Venipuncture certification is required with documented competency within 30 days of hire.
• Current AHA Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• Recent CT experience in an acute care setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures and operate CT equipment independently.
• Provide patient care and monitor comfort and safety during imaging.
• Assist physicians during CT procedures and follow protocols with radiologists.
• Relate professionally to patients, physicians, and health care staff.
• Be a resource within SAMC and participate on hospital/department committees.

Reporting to the Manager, Imaging Services, Radiology Administration, this position is responsible for performing CT procedures, providing patient care and physician assistance during the performance of those procedures.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Graduate of an accredited program of Radiologic Technology is required.
• Valid California Radiology Tech (CRT) certification from the State of California is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT) certification in Radiography (R) is required; advanced ARRT certification in (CT) also is required.
• Proof of venipuncture certification is required. Venipuncture competency must also be demonstrated and documented by the supervisor or his/her proxy within thirty (30) days of hire or transfer into position.
• Recent experience in CT is required, experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
• Ability to operate all CT equipment and perform all CT examinations independently (e.g., be able to protocol them or work in conjunction with the radiologist) is required.
• Must be seen as a resource throughout SAMC and be willing to actively participate on Hospital/Department committees as assigned.
• Ability to relate in a professional manner to patients, physicians, the public and other health care providers and demonstrate excellent customer service orientation is required.

Pay Range

$41.19 - $65.41

May be adjusted based on Career Ladder placement
