Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment to produce cross-sectional images used for diagnosing medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology (Preferred)

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) or R.T. (R)(ARRT) (Required)
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy (Required)
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Facility Specific License/Certifications

• Venipuncture (IV) certification (Required)

Essential Functions

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Use PACS and teleradiology systems to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintain accurate records, files, and billing information; ensure integrity of patient medical images and data in compliance with HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations.
• Perform routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
