Job summary

TEEMA Solutions Group is seeking a CT Technologist in Bakersfield, CA, to operate computed tomography equipment and produce diagnostic images. This position includes performing various imaging procedures, routine maintenance of equipment, and ensuring patient confidentiality per HIPAA guidelines. Required qualifications include certifications in CRT, ARRT (R)(CT), and BLS, as well as a Radiologic Tech license in California. The contract position offers night shifts from Friday to Sunday.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions.

Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Position Details

Contract, In-Office | Bakersfield, CA, United States.

Night Shift – 12 hrs, 1800-0630, Friday, Saturday, Sunday. Caribbean Blue Scrubs. Required: CRT, ARRT (R)(CT), BLS.

Job Requirements

• Education and Work Experience: Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology – Preferred
• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT) – Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI; Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR; Facility Specific
• AHA-BLS or ARC-BLS: Required

Essential Functions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
• Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to HIPAA and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
