Job summary

Adventist Health Lodi Memorial is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate CT equipment and perform CT, fluoroscopy and general radiography procedures. The role requires ARRT RT (CT) certification and CA licensure, with BLS and fluoroscopy licensure as appropriate.

The technologist will manage image transfer via PACS and maintain patient confidentiality. Responsibilities include image quality assurance, equipment calibration, and accurate record-keeping in a busy radiology department serving

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology (preferred).
• ARRT RT (CT) certification required/CA licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• Fluoroscopy license in CA if operating fluoroscopy equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and produces cross-sectional images.
• Performs general radiography and fluoroscopy as needed.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for interpretation.
• Maintains PACS/teleradiology transfers and image integrity.
• Maintains accurate records and billing information.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

Job Summary:

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients‘ bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements:

Education and Work Experience:
Associate‘s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Essential Functions:

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information.
• Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
