Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology preferred.

• Fluoroscopy license in CA if fluoroscopy is used.
• Venipuncture certification preferred in CA/OR.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment and produces cross-sectional images for radiologist interpretation.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images.
• Uses PACS/teleradiology to transfer images correctly.
• Maintains patient records and ensures HIPAA compliance.
• Performs routine equipment maintenance and manages supplies.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

• Associate's degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
• Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
• Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
• Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
• Venipuncture certification: Preferred in CA and OR

Essential Functions

• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
• Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
• Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
• Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
• Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
• Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay Range : The estimated base pay for this position is $48.55 to $72.77. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
