Job summary

Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a CT Technologist to join the Radiology team in Philadelphia. Under radiologist supervision, you will operate CT equipment and obtain diagnostic images while explaining procedures and gathering patient history.

The role requires ARRT certification and completion of an approved radiologic technology program. Rotating shifts, competent data entry into the Radiology Information System, and commitment to patient care are essential.

Qualifications

• ARRT certification required.
• Formal training in an approved radiologic program.
• Experience with radiology workflow and patient interaction is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates CT equipment to produce diagnostic CT images under radiologist supervision.
• Explains radiographic procedures to patients and collects relevant history.

Job Description

CT Technologists are responsible for the following:

• Explains radiographic procedure to the patient and collects accurate patient history.
• Performs clinical diagnostic examinations including any necessary room preparation.
• Properly enters patient and exam data into the Radiology Information System.

Under the direction of the Radiologist, the CT Technologist operates CT equipment to produce CT images of the body for diagnostic and interventional procedures.

Qualifications for this position include:

• 1-3 months experience and/or training required
• Satisfactory formal training in an approved program
• ARRT certification required

This position may be eligible for conversion to a Trainee role, subject to the team's capacity and availability of resources to support cross-training. Trainee opportunities are not guaranteed and are evaluated on a case-by-case basis. Individuals accepted into a Trainee role must sign an on-the-job training agreement. All required certifications must be obtained in accordance with the department's training program requirements; failure to meet these requirements may result in termination.
