Job summary

Medical City Dallas is seeking a CT Technologist to join our FSED team in Garland. You will perform CT exams, prep patients, and ensure radiation safety and protocol compliance under Radiologist supervision.

Required credentials include ARRT registration, State Radiologic Technician, BCLS within 30 days, and an Associate Degree. This PRN role supports our fast-paced emergency services and critical care teams.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of CT protocols and patient prep procedures.
• Strong radiation safety practices and shielding as required.
• Collaborative work with Radiologist on contrast usage.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate knowledge of CT scan exam protocols.
• Prep patients and provide clear patient instructions.
• Apply radiation protection methods consistently.
• Obtain patient history and collaborate with Radiologist.
• Post-process data as required.
• Assist physician during invasive procedures when needed.
• Assist during codes when necessary.

Job Summary and Qualifications

What You Will Do In This Role:

• You will demonstrate knowledge of all CAT Scan exam protocols for specific exams.
• You will be in charge of exam preparations and patient instructions.
• You will utilize radiation protection methods consistently and use shielding as necessary.
• You will obtain patient history and collaborate with the Radiologist on proper contrast usage.
• You will be responsible for the post processing of data.
• You will assist the physician as necessary for all invasive procedures to provide best patient care.
• You will assist during codes.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• State Registered Radiologic Technician
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT)
• Associate Degree
