Job summary

Black Women's Mental Health Institute seeks a CT Technologist to support the Diagnostic Float Team across facilities, performing CT exams per physician orders and safety protocols. Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited Radiologic Technology program completed.
  • At least 2 years hospital radiologic experience.
  • ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications.
  • Proficiency in CT procedures, patient communication, safety and flex shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Perform CT exams according to physician orders and safety protocols.
  • Verify patient identity and explain procedures empathetically.
  • Prepare and position patients, establish IV access and administer contrast.

Job description

We are seeking a CT Technologist to support our Diagnostic Float Team across multiple facilities, providing high-quality imaging services and compassionate patient care.
Responsibilities include performing CT exams according to physician orders and safety protocols, verifying patient identity, explaining procedures empathetically, preparing and positioning patients, establishing IV access, administering contrast media, and operating CT equipment safely.
Additional duties involve optimizing imaging techniques to ensure diagnostic quality while minimizing radiation exposure, evaluating image quality, recognizing urgent findings, and documenting accurately in RIS and PACS. Maintaining QC, calibration, and compliance standards is essential for smooth operations.
Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, at least 2 years of hospital radiologic experience, and ARRT-R, ARRT-CT, and BLS certifications. Skills required include technical proficiency in CT procedures, patient communication, attention to safety, and the ability to work flexibly across shifts.
