Job summary

Northwestern Medicine seeks a CT Technologist Float I to support imaging across multiple campuses and outpatient centers. You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and adhere to ALARA principles while coordinating exam flow across McHenry, Huntley, Woodstock, and Crystal Lake locations.

The role requires ARRT CT certification and a radiology technologist background with focus on diagnostic quality imaging and safe contrast administration.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) certification.
• IEMA Accreditation required in Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains patient safety throughout imaging process.
• Produces diagnostic-quality CT images per protocol and standards.
• Administers contrast per policy and monitors patient status.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains room readiness.
• Reviews images and initiates corrective actions if needed.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Documents results in medical records and image archive systems.
• Ensures quality and safety standards including ALARA.
