Job summary

The position emphasizes high-quality CT imaging, dose management, and collaboration with the radiology team. Eligible candidates must have CT experience and ARRT CT certification.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2+ years CT hospital experience.
• Graduate of an accredited CT program.
• ARRT CT certification and TX MRT license.
• Current BLS certification.
• Ability to perform high quality CT procedures and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Performs high-quality CT procedures according to exam protocol.
• Maintains radiation dose references and takes action if exceeded.
• Uses iSTAT for creatinine testing.
• Communicates with patients using AIDET and ensures correct exam.
• Prepares patient and area, positions patient, and adjusts exposure factors.
• Follows infection control and safety policies; maintains equipment.
• Maintains imaging records per department policies.
• Obtains and verifies all relevant documentation.
• Screens patients for safety and manages supplies.
• Reports issues to management and supports inventory.
