Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking a CT Technologist to support diagnostic imaging in an on-site Illinois facility. This full-time role offers an evening shift (3:00 p.m. – 11:30 p.m.) with a $15,000 sign-on bonus and competitive benefits.

You will perform CT procedures, ensure patient safety, and deliver high-quality images according to protocols while maintaining accurate documentation and efficient patient flow.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist Program.
• 1 year experience preferred; ARRT CT certification within 12 months or 10+ years directly relevant experience in lieu of certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is preferred/required.

Responsibilities

• Maintains accountability for patient safety throughout the imaging process, including screening, preparation, monitoring, and post-procedure care.
• Produces diagnostic-quality images using approved protocols and professional standards.
• Apply professional judgment within approved protocols to optimize image quality and address imaging challenges.
• Reviews images prior to exam completion and initiates corrective action when diagnostic adequacy is not met.
• Administers contrast in accordance with policy, including screening for contraindications and patient monitoring.
• Operates imaging equipment and maintains imaging room readiness.
• Coordinates exam flow and prioritizes time-sensitive studies.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in medical record and image archive system.
