Job summary

Good Samaritan Medical Center, part of Tenet Healthcare, is seeking a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT studies and support patient care in the evenings. The role emphasizes adherence to ALARA principles, documentation in Cerner and PACS, and safe operation of imaging equipment.

Flexible scheduling and commitment to quality patient imaging are essential. Applicants should be graduates of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program with ARRT CT certification and Florida licensure

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists.
• ARRT CT certification and Florida license preferred.
• CPR/BCLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures following protocols.
• Ensure patient safety and equipment operation with ALARA principles.
• Prepare rooms, supplies, and documentation in Cerner and PACS.
• Rotates call schedule as needed and maintains equipment.

Up to $20,00 SOB for qualified candidates, paid over 24 months.

The CT Tech operates CT equipment to perform a variety of imaging studies as indicated by established protocols and manufacturer specifications. Obtains optimum diagnostic CT imaging following ALARA principals. Prepares rooms, supplies and equipment for patient usage. Prepares timely documentation in Cerner and PACS. Attends to direct and indirect patient care needs to ensure successful completion of requested imaging studies. Rotates call schedule as needed. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Maintains equipment and utilizes protective devices to insure patient and employee safety.
• Organizes work area and maintains supplies.
• Assures correct patient information on requests, reports and PACS

Qualifications

Minimum Education / Licensure / Certifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologists

Licenses, Certifications

• American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Licensed Radiologic Technologists, State of Florida (HRS)
• ARRT CT certification
• Current CPR (BCLS) certification

Minimum Experience

• Graduate of an accredited program for Radiologic Technologist with ARRT CT certification.
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an acute care setting performing CT and radiography imaging procedures.
