Responsibilities

• Perform CT procedures according to established departmental protocols.
• Verify patient identity per hospital policy.
• Confirm correct procedure using medical records and physician orders.
• Prepare procedure rooms and required supplies prior to exams.
• Explain procedures to patients and/or family members.
• Perform exams efficiently while maintaining diagnostic image quality.
• Properly label and quality-assure exams prior to release for interpretation.
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly QA procedures on CT equipment.
• Follow radiation safety and protection procedures for patients and staff.
• Minimize repeat exposures through proper equipment setup.
