Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology (AMA approved program preferred).
• Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
• 1 year CT experience in acute care setting preferable.

Responsibilities

• Operate CT equipment and ensure diagnostic image quality.
• Perform CT exams per protocol on various body parts in a timely manner.
• Complete patient history forms and technologist exam sheets; check labs when necessary.
• Identify patient information using two identifiers and follow safety standards and ALARA principles.
• Input data accurately into RIS, Synapse, Radnet; verify timely image transfer to PACS.
• Review authorization and requisitions to verify exam type; communicate with staff when needed.
• Explain procedures clearly to patients and obtain informed consent.
• Begin IVs and administer contrast media as required.
• Perform regular quality checks on equipment and expedite service when needed.
