Job summary

SageWest Health Care in Fremont County, Wyoming seeks a CT Technologist to perform diagnostic CT imaging, prepare patients, position them correctly, and ensure high-quality images while adhering to radiation safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT Radiography Certification, BCLS, and state licensing where applicable, with preferred CT certification. You will work closely with radiologists and hospital staff in a fast-paced acute care setting.

Qualifications

• Postsecondary radiologic technology education from an accredited program.
• Associate’s degree in radiologic technology is preferred.
• ARRT Radiography Certification and state licensing as required; CT certification preferred.
• BCLS certification required; MRT/CT licenses per state requirements where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Perform CT imaging procedures following established protocols to ensure patient safety and accurate results.
• Verify patient identity and obtain relevant clinical history prior to procedures.
• Prepare and administer contrast media under radiologist direction.
• Operate CT equipment and acquire high-quality diagnostic images.
• Maintain accurate patient records in the EMR and document procedures.
• Apply radiation safety measures to minimize exposure.
• Assist in quality control, calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment.
• Respond to emergencies including contrast reactions and provide appropriate care.
• Collaborate with radiologists to optimize patient care and throughput.
• Pursue ongoing education to maintain ARRT certification and stay current with best practices.
