CT Tech – Maryview Medical Center

Job Summary:

The CT Technologist provides direct patient care by applying diagnostic imaging skills utilizing CT scanning equipment. They assist in diagnosing and treating patients by producing diagnostic CT scans.

Essential Functions:

1. Confirm that all pertinent patient and procedural data are correct.
2. Perform computed tomography procedures.
3. Properly position and immobilize patients on CT scanning cradles.
4. Create radiation exposures by energizing the scanner.
5. Perform intravenous injections and administer oral, rectal, and IV radiographic contrast agents specific to procedures.
6. Assist radiologists with biopsies and drainage procedures.
7. Maintain working knowledge of all CT IT systems, including Radiant and PACS.
8. Participate in on-call rotation and timeout as required.

Education:

• Associate's degree from an ARRT-accredited institute (preferred)

Licensure/Certification:

• Basic Life Support (BLS) – American Heart Association (required)
• Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) (preferred)
• State Licensure (preferred)

Experience:

• One year of experience as a CT or Radiologic Technologist (preferred)

• Experience with EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) (preferred)
• Experience with Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) (preferred)
