Qualifications

• One year CT experience preferred; FSED opportunities may require acute care experience.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of start date.
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) and CT registry preferred.
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist.
• ACLS must be obtained within 90 days of start date.
• PALS or related pediatric life support must be obtained within 90 days of start date.

Responsibilities

• Under Radiologist direction, performs radiology and CT procedures with minimal supervision.
• Apply prescribed ionizing radiation using independent judgment and initiative.
• Work with patients across age groups from neonate to geriatric.
• Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures as required.

Position: CT Technologist

Shifts Available:

Weekdays: Monday- Thursday 11p - 7:30a (Main Hospital)

Weekdays: Schedule: Mon- Thur. 11p - 7a & cover 7p-7a, if needed (FSED)

Job Summary:

Under the direction of the Radiologist, performs Radiology and CAT scan procedures at a technical level requiring no constant supervision of technical detail. Perform a variety of technical procedures that will require independent judgment, with ingenuity and initiative to apply prescribed ionizing radiation. Assume responsibility for designated areas or procedures required. Recognizes the purpose of employment is to prioritize the patient as number one, and to put forth the utmost quality as a Technologist. Perform examinations on patients of various ages from neonate to geriatric.

Qualifications:

• One year of CT experience preferred. Candidates DO NOT need to have acute care experience for HCA Fort Walton-Destin Hospital. However, for the FSED opportunities they need to have acute care experience
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• Registered Radiographer (ARRT) (R) & (CT) registry preferred.
• Florida State Registered Radiologic Technologist
• Graduate from an accredited Radiology Technology School.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt, or ACLS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt, or PALS Instructor must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date.

Compensation:

• Pay rates: Up to $36.15/hr. (Based on years of experience)
• On Call: As Needed
• Shift Diffs: Evenings: $2/hr.; Nights: $3/hr.; Wknd: $5/hr.
