Qualifications

  • ARRT RT (R)(CT) or RT (R) ARRT required.
  • Radiologic Tech license in state of practice CA required.
  • Advanced CT certification preferred in CA (required in OR & HI).
  • BLS certification required by AH policy.
  • Fluoroscopy license required in CA if fluoroscopy is operated.
  • Venipuncture certification required in CA if administering contrast materials.

Responsibilities

  • Produce sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Operate CT and related imaging modalities as assigned (general radiography, fluoroscopy).
  • Use PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images properly.
  • Maintain accurate records, files and patient data in compliance with HIPAA.
  • Perform routine maintenance/calibration of equipment and manage supply inventory.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment, producing cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs and tissue that are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures not limited to CT, including general radiography and fluoroscopy.

Job Requirements

Education and Work Experience:

  • Associate’s degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT): Required
  • Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice: Required in CA
  • Advanced Certification in the modality of CT: Required in OR and HI, Preferred in CA
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
  • Fluoroscopy license in state of employment: Required in CA, if employee operates fluoroscopy equipment
  • Venipuncture certification: Required in CA, if employees performs venipuncture to administer contrast materials
Facility Specific License/Certifications
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor per AH policy: Required
Essential Functions
  • Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates care for patients ranging in age from adolescence through geriatric.
  • Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation.
  • Uses PACS and teleradiology system to correctly transfer images to the appropriate location.
  • Maintains accurate records, files and billing information. Ensures the integrity of patient medical images and data while adhering to Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and other patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations.
  • Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment and manages supply inventory.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Pay Range: The estimated base pay for this position is $45.39 to $62.26. Additional individual compensation may be available for this role through differentials, extra shift incentives, bonuses, etc. Base pay is only a portion of the total rewards package, and a comprehensive benefits program is available for qualifying positions.
