Job summary

Providence is seeking a CT Technologist to perform a range of diagnostic CT procedures at St. Mary Medical Center in Apple Valley. You will ensure patient safety, age-appropriate care, and accurate image acquisition in a fast-paced radiology department.

The role emphasizes collaboration with radiologists, quality control participation, and being a clinical resource to staff, with on-call flexibility to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• California Radiologic Technologist certification upon hire.
• National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
• National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists upon hire.
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures following department standards and age-specific criteria.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities.
• Act as a clinical and technical resource to technologists and radiologists; participate in on-call schedules.

$7,500 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under the direction of the Department Director, the day-to-day supervision of the Lead Technologist and/or Manager and in close collaboration with the Radiologists, the CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and to the radiologists. Participates in call schedule and remains flexible with job assignments and shifts to meet staffing needs of the department.

Required Qualifications:

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center performing pediatric and adult CT scans.
