Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program.
• California Radiologic Technologist licensure required upon hire.
• BLS - American Heart Association certification required upon hire.
• ARRT Radiography certification required upon hire.
• Within 1 year of hire: ARRT CT certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging procedures per department standards and age-specific criteria.
• Serve as a customer service representative to patients, families, and staff.
• Participate in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities.
• Act as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and radiologists.
• Participate in call schedule and remain flexible with shifts to meet staffing needs.

Job description

$7,500 hiring bonus for eligible external hires that meet required qualifications and conditions for payment.

Under the direction of the Department Director, the day-to-day supervision of the Lead Technologist and/or Manager and in close collaboration with the Radiologists, the CT Technologist performs a variety of diagnostic imaging procedures and related activities according to department standards utilizing age-specific criteria. Serves as a customer service representative to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff. Participates in quality control, performance improvement, and organizational improvement activities. Serves as a clinical and technical resource to other technologists and to the radiologists. Participates in call schedule and remains flexible with job assignments and shifts to meet staffing needs of the department.

Required Qualifications

• Coursework/Training: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist school or program.
• Upon hire: California Radiologic Technologist
• Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
• Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Radiography - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
• Within 1 year of hire: National Registered Technologist - Computed Tomography

Preferred Qualifications

• 2 years experience in a hospital or outpatient imaging center performing pediatric and adult CT scans.
